Steps
-
Open the new ABSS application.
-
Open your existing company data file.
-
A message will appear: “Do you want to upgrade?”
-
Click YES.
-
A second window will ask where to save the upgraded data file.
-
ABSS will automatically suggest the C:\ABSS Connect folder.
-
You may click Browse to choose another folder and change the file name.
-
It is recommended to use a new file name so you can easily identify the upgraded file.
Important Notice
The upgrade process creates a new company data file.
After upgrading:
-
Always open the new upgraded file.
-
Do NOT open the old data file anymore.
If ABSS asks you to upgrade again in the future
It means you have accidentally opened the old data file.
Do NOT proceed with the upgrade again.
If you continue, it may overwrite the previously upgraded file and any transactions entered after the first upgrade may be lost.
6. Backup Recommendation
Best Practice
Remember to back up your ABSS data every day.
Save your backup files in:
-
A USB/Pen Drive
-
A Cloud Drive (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, etc.)
Having multiple backup copies helps protect your business data from accidental deletion, hardware failure, or ransomware attacks.
