ABSS Connect \u2013 Download, Install & Upgrade Guide<\/p>\n

1. How to Download the Latest ABSS Version<\/h3>\n

Follow these steps to download the latest ABSS Connect installer directly from your ABSS application:<\/p>\n

    Open your ABSS application and open your company data file as usual.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Log in with your User ID and Password.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    From the top menu, click Connected Services \u2192 Check for Latest Update.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    Check the version number and release date.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  5. \n

    Select the update file and click Download.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  6. \n

    Wait for the download to complete.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    2. How to Uninstall the Old ABSS Connect Version<\/h3>\n

    Important<\/p>\n

    Before uninstalling, create a backup of your ABSS data file and save it in a safe location.<\/p>\n

    If you are using an older version such as v2.2.1, v2.1, v2.0, or v1, you must uninstall it first before installing the new version.<\/p>\n

      Click the Windows Search bar.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Type Add or Remove Programs.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Wait until the uninstallation is completed.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      3. How to Install the New ABSS Version<\/h3>\n

        Locate the downloaded installer file (for example, ABSS Connect Setup.exe).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        Double-click the installer.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        Tick I accept the terms and click Next.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      4. \n

        Select Typical installation and click Next.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      5. \n

        Follow the on-screen instructions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      6. \n

        Wait until the installation is completed.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      7. \n

        Click Finish.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        4. Copy Customized Forms from the Old Version<\/h3>\n

        If you have customized invoices, quotations, receipts, or other forms, copy them from the old installation folder.<\/p>\n

          Open File Explorer.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

          C:\\ABSS Connect v##\\forms<\/p>\n

          (Replace v## with your old version folder.)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

          Copy the customized form files you need.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

          Then go to:<\/p>\n

          C:\\ABSS Connect v2\\forms<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        5. \n

          Paste the copied forms into this folder.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          5. How to Upgrade Your Data File<\/h3>\n

          Steps<\/h3>\n

            Open the new ABSS application.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

          2. \n

            Open your existing company data file.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

          3. \n

            A message will appear: \u201cDo you want to upgrade?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

          4. \n

            Click YES.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

          5. \n

            A second window will ask where to save the upgraded data file.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

          6. \n

            ABSS will automatically suggest the C:\\ABSS Connect folder.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

          7. \n

            You may click Browse to choose another folder and change the file name.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

          8. \n

            It is recommended to use a new file name so you can easily identify the upgraded file.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Important Notice<\/p>\n

            The upgrade process creates a new company data file.<\/p>\n

            After upgrading:<\/p>\n

              \n

              Always open the new upgraded file.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

            • \n

              Do NOT open the old data file anymore.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              If ABSS asks you to upgrade again in the future<\/p>\n

              It means you have accidentally opened the old data file.<\/p>\n

              Do NOT proceed with the upgrade again.<\/p>\n

              If you continue, it may overwrite the previously upgraded file and any transactions entered after the first upgrade may be lost.<\/p>\n

              6. Backup Recommendation<\/h3>\n

              Remember to back up your ABSS data every day.<\/p>\n

              Save your backup files in:<\/p>\n

                A USB\/Pen Drive<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                A Cloud Drive (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, etc.)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                Having multiple backup copies helps protect your business data from accidental deletion, hardware failure, or ransomware attacks.<\/p>\n
